Upgrading WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER 10 to 11

Upgrade Windows Media Player 10 to 11

You can now easily upgrade from Windows Media Player 10 (WMP10) to WMP 11
without any hassle about validation, and without downloading any crack or
patch.

If you've already installed WM11 go to STEP 2.

STEP 1: Go to the old windows media player (WM10), go to Tools->Options and
click on 'Check for updates once a day.' Press Apply and then OK.

After a short time a window appears asking if you want to upgrade to a newer
version, click OK. System will download WM11 and install the Media Player
11. After installation restart your PC.

STEP 2: Click on Start -> Search. Click 'All files and folders' then search
for LegitLibM.dll. (it's located in C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player
folder.)

After LegitLibM.dll is found, right click and rename it to legitlib.dll.

STEP 3: Run WM11, click on validate, it may say 'unable to validate' (but
that's a fake message and WMP11 still works, so just click on OK). Then the
program will go on to settings or configuration and after you do that the
WMP 11 is ready to be used.

Method 2,3 and 4 above is WMP 11 application specific way to crack and
bypass WGA in order to download and install WMP11, while method 1 is the
workaround that make your Windows genuine, so there won't be any restriction
on installation of WMP11.

Making free Calls w/ u'r NOKIA handset

Section 1: The Introduction
----------------------------

Tired of wondering if you have gone over your minute limit? Tired of
trying to guess how many minutes you are going to use? Tired of even
paying for the Sh*t? Then this is the tutorial for you. This is a
short and simple tutorial that will teach you, the reader, how to
make free calls on your Nokia cell phone. So let's proceed...

Section 2: So How Do We Do It?
-------------------------------

This technique works on most of the nokia models out today. Meaning
this will work for you as long as you don't have an old fossil sort
of model. So what you will first do is turn on your phone. Then punch
in the code *3001#12345#. This will bring up the NAM programming menu.
From here go down and select the option NAM 1. Once you are in the NAM
1 menu, go down until you see "Emergency Numbers", and enter. You then
go down until you see an empty slot and enter the empty slot. Then
simply punch in the number that you want to call and exit the NAM
programming menu. Now when you dial up the number, the number will be
treated as an emergency call number, which will therefore put the
phone into emergency call mode (which you can exit out of once you are
finished with your call). No number in the emergency call number list
is ever billed to you. There are a couple of other things you can do
from within the NAM programming menu, but that can be saved for another
time, and another tutorial.

Section 3: The Conclusion
--------------------------

Once again I hoped you enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed
writing this. This trick for the most part only works on the Nokia
60 series, though I believe may also work for a couple of other models.
Be sure to also note that this trick also doesn't work on all
networks. Therefore, if you indeed do have a compatible model, first
try it with just one or two calls before you start going wild. Then
just wait for the bill, and if nothing shows up about the calls you
made with this trick, then feel free to call away. Anyways, until next
time...

Installing UBUNTU w/out using a CD

I can't help thinking about the days when, if you wanted to install a Linux distribution on your system, you had to go through a messy repartitioning of your hard drive, burning the distribution's image on a CD (or several CDs – there where no DVDs around those times) and, finally, figuring out what to do with the newly created CDs.

If you were lucky enough you had a semi-working OS on your machine that needed numerous tweaks, fixes and other things like these until it worked fine. And I'm not talking about getting it to work exactly how you wanted it to... just getting it to work.

Nowadays, installing a Linux flavored OS on your computer shouldn't be such a hard task to accomplish because there are tools out there that do it without you having to juggle around with your hard disk's partitions and even give a damn about what is happening under the hood. These days, we have come to a point when we can install Linux from inside our Windows OS by using a native Windows executable.

One of the multitude of such programs is Wubi (Windows
based Ubuntu Installer), the one that I picked to present you before starting this article.

The thing that will surely amaze you is not that Wubi will install Ubuntu (with its flavors: Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Xubuntu, Edubuntu, UbuntuStudio) on your system without you having to deal with a mind-blowing row of tasks before finally having it ready to run, but that it will not affect your file system in any manner. As you can read on Wubi's FAQ page, "Wubi adds an entry to the Windows boot menu which allows you to run Linux. Ubuntu is installed within a file in the windows file system ( c:\wubi\disks\system.virtual.disk ), this file is seen by Linux as a real hard disk."

So, you see, nothing gets changed in your Windows OS and there is almost nothing to it. In three unbelievable easy steps, anyone – even people that have never seen the looks of a Linux OS – can install Ubuntu on their computer.

What are those steps I'm talking about? Well... this is about everything you have to do:

1. Dowload Wubi from HERE;
2. Run Wubi from Windows as you would with any other ordinary Windows program;
3. Select the password to be used while installing Ubuntu and click Install.

And presto, you have a fast, good-looking and (I think) very easy-to-use Linux distribution running right beside Windows in a dual boot environment.

The only thing that you really have to think about when beginning to install Ubuntu using Wubi is to decide how big the installation size should be. From what I've learned so far, 10 GB of space would prove more than enough for everything you might think to do when using it. But, if you think you'll need more and you have the necessary space (and I bet most of you do) you could give it about 20 GB to be sure everything will go as smooth as you'd wanted it to.

Keep in mind though: unlike using a paid software, when using Wubi (which is a free application) there are no warranties, therefore you run Wubi at your own risk. Despite this warning coming from the program's developers, I have never heard about a case when things have gone wrong.

What remains to be said now? Just enjoy Ubuntu and get back with a comment if everything is OK. If not... well... I’m impatiently waiting to hearing from you.
